S. Gopikrishna Warrier is an environment journalist based in Thrissur, Kerala. He currently serves as the Editorial Director of Mongabay-India, an online environmental and conservation publication dedicated to reporting on nature, biodiversity, and climate issues in India.

With several decades of experience in environmental journalism and science communication, Gopikrishna Warrier has contributed extensively to leading publications including India Climate Dialogue, Nature India, Frontline, The News Minute, India Legal, The Times of India, The Hindu, and The Hindu Business Line. His articles have also appeared in Firstpost and Forbes India

His writings and reflections on environmental issues can also be found on his blog “A Touch of Green.” Beyond journalism, he has played an active role in strengthening environmental reporting in India. He served as the former secretary of the Forum of Environmental Journalists in India (FEJI), a professional body supporting environmental journalists across the country.
